Calculating Flow in REAL TIME
When the “Auto-Update” check box is enabled, the Data Service in Merlin Enterprise will use the stage data and the defined rating curves to calculate flows and store them in the database each time new stage data is collected. This allows the data to be displayed on maps or used in charting and reports as if it was being collected from a monitoring station in real time. The benefit of using the rating curve tool for this is that there is an editable record of applied rating curves that is displayed and can be edited.
