Standard file formats for data importing

This document introduces the standard file formats for data importing. The Data Management System can import several data types – and there will probably be more added – but for now there are two formats we are recommending to improve data processing efficiency: Headed format and Eyasco format.

· The Headed format is used for raw data without data quality codes. It is a good choice for new data that is not currently in the database.

· The Eyasco format is currently the only format that can accommodate quality codes. It is mainly used for gap filled or corrected data, but can also be used for new data IF you know the Type ID for the records you are submitting.
