Orphaned events
Orphaned events are event data that were not able to be processed by the Merlin Data Service. Most Orphaned Events are the result of incoming data not matching an existing Type ID. This might happen if a remote sensor is deployed and begins transmitting data before the sensor is added through Merlin Enterprise. Other orphan events may be created during database maintenance cycles, when transient communication problems interrupt the normal processing of Event data. Orphaned events are processed using the Import Tool in Merlin Enterprise.
